Achy

My head hurts. My back aches. I can't walk very well. I am cold and then I am hot. I'm kind of shakey.

I think I have the flu.

What's sad is that I am going to go to work anyway because I desperately need the money.

Aieeee! As one who is living the flu adventure this week, I do sympathize. So sorry to hear that it got you, too.

Normally I abhor unsolicited advice, both the giving and receiving of it, but because I am concerned, I will break my own rule, just this once. If there is any way you can avoid working while you feel this poorly, please consider doing it. Believe me, I have been in that place where every dollar is needed badly, and I know it's easy for me to say "the money just isn't worth it!" when it's not my own money under discussion. But. This year's flu is a nasty, nasty piece of work. I haven't left my house in 2 1/2 days, I've been doing nothing but resting, and I still feel as if I'm being beaten with cast-iron skillets from head to toe. It is easy for flu to turn into something worse, and there is no job on this earth for which it is worth ending up in hospital. Please get as much rest as you can. If you have friends and/or relatives who can do runners for Theraflu and orange juice, so much the better.

I'm sorry that you are experiencing the same miserable adventure.

I appreciate your advice. I don't work again until Tuesday. Going in tonight wasn't smart. It got to the point that I would do one thing and have to go sit down. I was exhausted and miserable. Finally I was instructed to leave.

I wish I could just rest. I have classes in the mornings, rehearsal tomorrow night, etc. I am going to rest as much as possible.

Hugs.
